A Speaking First Approach
The school was founded by Manisha in 2021 in London, after years of working with language schools and online students from all over the world. While teaching in traditional settings, one pattern kept repeating: students were progressing through levels, completing textbooks, and “doing everything right” - yet they still felt blocked when it came to real conversations.
During the pandemic, Manisha began sharing short Italian lessons on TikTok and Instagram, focused on how Italian is actually spoken in everyday life. The response was immediate. Thousands of learners resonated with a different approach, one that prioritised communication, cultural context, and confidence over perfection.
That’s when the vision became clear: the problem wasn’t motivation or ability, but how Italian is usually taught.
The Italiano con Manisha School was created to offer a clear alternative to traditional language learning , a space where students don’t just study Italian, but actively learn how to use it in real life, from the very beginning.

General Course
If you’re looking for a complete Italian course that builds every skill you need, this is the one for you. The General Course is a structured group course that develops your speaking, listening, reading, and writing, while also strengthening your grammar and vocabulary.
Lessons are interactive and dynamic, blending practical communication with grammar explanations and cultural insights. You’ll work with classmates at a similar level, share your learning journey, and practise Italian in a motivating, supportive environment.
By the end of the course, you’ll not only understand Italian better but also be able to use it confidently in conversations, in writing, and in real-life situations. Remember, we don’t teach textbook Italian, we teach the real, everyday Italian that people actually speak!
Conversation Course
Do you already know some Italian but wish you could speak it with confidence? Our Conversation Group Courses are designed to help you do exactly that. In a supportive, small-group environment (maximum of 5 students per class), you’ll practise real-life communication through lively discussions, role-plays, and cultural topics.
Instead of memorising phrases, you’ll learn how to think in Italian and respond naturally, just like a local! Each lesson is built around authentic resources, current themes, and interactive activities that keep the conversation flowing. You don’t need to buy any textbooks, all materials are provided, and you’ll receive personalised feedback so you can track your progress and keep improving after every class.
This course is ideal for A2 students. We also offer higher levels.

My name is Manisha, and I’m the founder of Italiano con Manisha. I’m a Certified Italian Language Teacher, born and raised in the beautiful city of Modena, in northern Italy.
I’ve been teaching Italian for over 7 years, working with students from all over the world and at different levels, from complete beginners to more advanced learners.
I completed my BA in European Languages in Italy and later obtained my teaching certification, specialising in Italian as a foreign language. In 2019, I moved to London to further my studies and completed an MA in Asian Languages.
I love helping students feel confident in Italian from day one, focusing on clear explanations, real communication, and practical language you can actually use.
At Italiano con Manisha, lessons are designed to make Italian feel clear, practical, and natural from the very first class.
